"I'm not a big fan of the gym scene... but I wanted to get in shape and have a personal trainer. I met Toby, shared my goals, joined the stadium class and almost a year later, am much further along than I ever thought I would be especially without a gym membership!!!! "I started my journey to a healthier me in Oct 2012, having made the decision that I was tired of being overweight. I also felt that at 46 years, hypertensive and on medication for about 15 years, I needed to pay more attention to my health. I joined teamdbA and started the training sessions. I was amazed at how much I enjoyed the sessions and the structure of the training, which was challenging without being a struggle. A year and a half later and I'm still bereft when I have to miss a session.

A benefit that I did not anticipate, was that within a period of just over 3 weeks, though I had not lost weight, my blood pressure was unusually normal without medication. There was mild fluctuation for a couple months, but with consistent training I achieved an overall weight loss of 20lbs and for the past year+ my blood pressure has been consistently in the normal range.

The dynamics of our Jackson Sq team is awesome, and the Rasta Demon as I affectionately call teamdbA's trainer, keeps us motivated and challenged to put in the work and get it done!"
